Frédéric Tschumi

Giving the Europera Youth Orchestra its beat

Frédéric Tschumi conducts the Europera Youth Orchestra since the beginning of the 2015-season with great joy and enthusiasm.

Before the native-born Swiss came to the Czech-German-Polish tri-state-area, he worked amongst others with great success with the Orchestervereinigung Sindelfingen, which unter his lead brought e.g. Beethovenʻs 9th symphony on stage accompanied by a choir. He also engaged himself as head of the Jena youth orchestra and the symphonic orchestra Strohgäu, as conductor of ensembles like the symphonic orchestra Teplice, the Vogtland Philharmonie and the Lohorchestrer Sondershausen.

The musicologist, German philologist and music theorist by Masterʻs degree passed his diploma in conducting and violine under professors Nicolas Pasquet and Gunter Kahlert at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar.
